Marybeth & Adam, Baywood Greens DE

Its been quite the season. I apologize for my tardy blog posts. As the end of a year winds down so much more picks up. I am finally coming up for breath and am diligently working on showing you my last weddings of the year.

Marybeth holds a special special place in my heart. She is not just any bride but one of my very best friends. We both attended Towson University in Maryland for one year, waaay way back in 1996/1997!. We were roommates for half of that year and while neither one of us stayed at the university we will always agree that the reason we went there that year was to meet and become friends. Awe. :) It sounds a little sappy but its totally true. We have been through a lot together though far apart. I couldn't be happier that she found Adam and seeing them together there is no question of their devotion and love for each other. Its such a great feeling seeing a friend so head over heals in love, she deserves it! I was on the fence when she first asked me to photograph the wedding, maybe being a little selfish I couldn't imagine allowing anyone else to do the job. Not to mention that Marybeth is just simply a beautiful bride. I did get to live the best of both worlds though, I had my good friend Geoffrey Horowitz of Leapfrog Photography second shoot for me and cover the reception so that I could enjoy that part as a guest. I did manage to sneak in some shots, I couldn't help myself. Thank you again Geoffrey!

I've made you wait long enough for this post, so enough of the sappy sap and on to the photos.

The setting in the locker rooms was not what I envisioned for the "dress shot" so I asked Marybeth if she would be up for holding the dress for a shot. Why not show off those sexy legs at the same time?

Now don't try this one at home folks! It was super windy and I made sure that the straps of that dress were wound so tightly on that hanger. If it were to happen to fly off I might was well jump in the river too. Luckily everything went to plan and we got this awesome shot of the dress flying as a golf cart came over the bridge. Major props to Marybeth for trusting me on this one.

I popped in at just the right moment to catch Adam getting his shave on.

I fell in love with these grasses!
Isn't Marybeth such a gorgeous bride?

One of my favorites.
This is totally Adam's personality.

Geoffrey got this awesome shot of Marybeth heading down the isle.

Being a flower girl is hard work!

Adam's brother officiated the ceremony and needless to say there was a lot of emotion.

The Kiss!!!!

Married! Love this shot!

Marybeth already has a large print of this, love this.

Geoffrey's view

My view.

Fun times in the photobooth!!

Mr. & Mrs. Sisk, love you guys!

I am so happy for these two, it was such a gorgeous day. Perfection.

Kate & Ben, Radnor Hunt

Kate and Ben had a wonderful day! Before I get too far let me mention some of the key players.

Venue: Radnor Hunt
Flowers: Harmony Hill Gardens
Pies: Linvilla
Shoes: Manolo Blahnik
Second Shooter: David Schrott, David shot a lot with me this year, as usual great stuff David thank you for all you do!

Lets get on to some images.
starting with some bling.

One of the groomsmen warming up for the ceremony.

The flowers were amazing. They were from Harmony Hill Gardens, which is an organic grower in Buck county. Ben's step mom was instrumental in the arrangements.

David got to spend a good bit of time with the boys, I love this little moment.

Kate was very excited about her shoes, who wouldn't be?

One of my favorites

Kate's something old was the veil her mom wore.

Love this.

Ben taking a few moments before the ceremony.

All the center pieces were different.

All of the details at the wedding were made, or arranged by family and friends. I like their interpretation of the program as the chalk board.

I love the look Ben is giving Kate here as they meet at the alter.

They did a self uniting ceremony. Kate's aunt Sara officiated; Kate and Ben wrote their own vows. September 26 is also sentimental because Ben's grandfather was married on the same day in 1941. Pretty cool.

I loved the brides maids dresses. Some gorgeous ladies.

The emotion on both sides of the family was very touching.

The kiss!

I love how Ben is getting the "adaboy" from his dad as they come down the isle!

We really hoped the horses would be out for some photos.

A still from one of my motion sequences, check out the slideshow below for more.

I think this guy may have secretly wanted to eat Kate's bouquet.

Radnor Hunt has this awesome swing. We had to take advantage.

Another favorite.

Instead of a wedding cake, they had pie.

The pie's were delicious. They all came from Linvilla Orchards except the one on top, Kate's mom made that one special.

I love love this little moment!

Pie is good!
What an awesome day. We had such a great time and the weather held for us, the minute we were done with portraits the sky opened up! Thank you for having me out, always a pleasure.
