Little Nuala and Baby Orlaith

If you have been following me for a few years you will know that this family has been with me since the beginning so to say! We first started right before Nuala was born and now she has a sister, Orlaith (or-lah). This was my first meeting with Orlaith since the belly session. She is such a beautiful happy baby! Nuala is such a great big sister too. This has to be one of my all time favorite sessions.

Meet Orlaith

happy baby

She has amazing eyes.

I love this one!

Nuala taking on her big sister roll.

I can't believe how much Nuala has grown!

LOVE LOVE LOVE!

I am all about fun family pics.

I think if there is any one image to sum up this little girl it would be this one.

Again, LOVE!

hehe, this just makes my heart happy.

How do you know a family really loves you? When they specifically request a photo of you with their children. The feeling is mutual guys, love ya!

The slideshow is pretty fun, I highly recommend checking it out.

Baby Declan, One Year

Billy and Karith are friends of mine from our vintage scooter club and I gave them a moodybaby session at their baby shower last year. It was so fun to get out and spend some time with these guys. Declan was so much fun! He is a really smart, cute adorable little guy.

He enjoys a good book.
Stories are always better with mom and dad.

Good times with mom, dad and "the pig" which is Oberon their dog.

This little guy has no fear. He was up and down that slide so many times.

I love this one.

mmm is that handle good?

This is his farmer John pose.He seems pretty comfortable with the corn stalks in the background hanging out in his John Deere wagon.

Not to mention his flare.

Another favorite. This hat is a staple on this boy.
Fun times as usual. I really can't believe Declan is a year old. Its really crazy. How time flies when your having fun.

Baby Jackson, Six Months

Oh my gosh, baby Jackson is the cutest super chunk I have ever laid eyes on. We had such a fun session. Carina gave her brother the gift of a moodybaby photos session at their baby shower. I had been waiting to hear from these guys wondering at what age they would want me to come out. So happy they choose six months. I love babies at six months!

Meet super chunk baby Jackson.

Oooh love it. He is like a mini Micheline man!

They still had some awesome color, had to take advantage of that!

So serious!

Love when they try to get my camera!

I snapped this really quick, proud parents looking on.

I think any woman with a child knows this. Ouch!

Story time!

I love the point of view shots.

Yeah! Play time!

Auntie Carina supplied the entertainment behind me.

Thank you Auntie Carina for my moodybaby session!

LOVE it.

You guys were so much fun! Thank you so much for having me out.

Check out the slideshow for more fun images.

Baby Anderson, two weeks

Little baby Anderson was the sweetest thing. He was only two weeks old for this shoot and we were fully prepared to have a very sleepy baby. Well, he must have known it was photo-shoot time because this little guy was awake for our whole session. He did a wonderful job and made mom super proud for keeping his eyes open for as long as he did.

Meet baby Anderson

He had a little snack and then some cuddle time with mom.

He has already found his thumb, which he loves.

May be a new favorite.

Quiet time with mom on the bed.

Love this.

He loves the stroke of his moms hand on his face.
"yeah, you know its all good"

Anderson was such a pleasure! He is a cutie pie. Thank you for having me out.

The Bernards

Some of you may recognize Julie and Pete from their wedding last year. Well life has surely had some big changes for these two! This past winter Julie gave birth to Preston and Owen, yes they are identical twins! Man are they adorable! Their big brother Logan does a great job of looking after them too.

Logan, like the center of attention? No..... :)

Logan really does do a good job of hanging out with his brothers.

It is quite the event just getting out of the house with twins and a toddler.

Love this of Logan and his T-Rex balloon.

Now, I had the names right the day of the shoot.....but I seriously can't remember who is who. Preston or Owen?

Love this.

Julie just might be super woman.

Pete and all his boys.

Their good friend John stopped by for a few shots too. He and Logan are best buds.

Seriously? This kid couldn't get any cuter.

This is the usual scene in this house.

One more family portrait.

Aren't these two a smoking hot couple?

As per usual, great seeing you guys. Major kudos to you, you certainly have your hands full and you make it look so easy!

Baby Gus, One Year

This little guy is near and dear to my heart. Gus is my good friend and former room mate Jill's son. Augustin if we are going by full names. He looks just like Jill with the red curly hair to boot! I had such and awesome day with these guys. I can't wait to do it again. I seriously can't believe he is already a year old. Time flies. Jilly is doing an amazing job, she is such a good mom and will most likely be the funnest mom in the class.

You can see how much he looks up to her.

What a stinking cutie!

Ok, mom. I'm hungry. Lets get this show on the road.

You will never question if he is her child. Gus is the mini male version of Jill.

There are just no words.

Fun times down the slide!

Building trust.

My favorite.
Jilly we need to do this again. I can't go this long without seeing this little guy.

Baby Alex, One Year

Baby Alex was so much fun to hang out with. He is such an active little boy and so expressive. I was exhausted after this shoot! haha!

Cracking up at Dad with the watering can.

I love this, just the simple pleasure of touch and color.

Such a handsome little man. Loved his t-shirt.

LOVE this one. Just something about it. Maybe its the expression of independence and the assertiveness of a one year old on a mission, I don't know. I love playing with shadows too.

We had a ton of fun on the slides.

The wheel is his favorite part of the playground.

Some fun with mom on the swings.
(Yep, that's my hand in there too. I would tickle him every time he got close.)

LOVE this.

Back to the wheel!

We ended with some story time.
It was great spending the afternoon with you guys. Thank you so much for having me out!

Baby Ryder Session 3

This little man gets cuter with every breath he takes! I always have the best time with this family and Ryder is getting so big!

This is my favorite image, I just love it!!

He had been a little sleepy when we first started but once we put him on the slide he perked right up. This was his first experience on the slide too, so it was extra special.
One happy kiddo!

Oh, doesn't this look just make your heart melt?

These guys are one adorable family. It is always such a pleasure to see the love they have for this little man.

Love this one too.

kisses from mom!

"hey, what's in there?" This is why I always use my lens hood for kid shoots, I love it when they interact with the camera, they have something to grab on to and it keeps a safe distance from little fingers. :)
As per usual, such a fun time. You guys are awesome, I'll see you again soon!

Baby Hutch

Baby Hutch was so adorable! We had such a good time during our shoot. He just started walking a few days before and he was doing the frankinstein, drunk baby walk all over the place! His new found ability opened up so many new possibilities and cool things to get into. Not to mention keeping mom and dad on their toes.

I got there just in time to get him waking up from his nap.

Isn't this kid cuter than anything you have ever seen?

Babies love to check out what going on in that lens!

Hutch is Dad's hunka hunka burnin love.

A kid that likes grass! Awesome.

I just have to laugh when I see this one. We had just tried for a nice family walking photo, but Hutch didn't want to walk. Gotta love it.
His little side looks are heart melters.

Bath time Mohawk!

High five to dad.

He likes to hide in the curtains.

We had such a fun session, Hutch is such a heart throb! Our session ended just in time to put him down for bed. Talk about good timing!

enjoy the slideshow

Zachary & Noah

August was definitely the month for family portraits. I hadn't seen these guys since Zachary was in his mom's belly! He is so adorable and Noah was just as much a gentleman as he was when I first met him.
Great looking family, no?

Noah is a very good big brother.

The many faces of Noah.

This family has a love of books.

May be my all time favorite playground shot.

Zachary loves to just dangle. Isn't he a cutie!

They have a similar photo to this one of Noah when he was a baby in the same spot.

Love this family portrait.
It was so great seeing you guys again! Noah is so smart, no doubt to his love of brain quest. Zachary couldn't be more adorable.

Oliver, Nolan & Isla

I love this family. Another prime example and my how time flies! I will always remember the first time I photographed them.
Very pregnant Robyn and little Oliver.
Then the first shoot with Nolan and the beginning of the "traditional" family portrait.

Now look at them! With a new addition, Isla. I didn't even know about Isla till I showed up, Robyn complimented my hair and said oh I remember the days before three kids. I thought to myself, three kids? What? And yep, they had just been through a whirl wind of an adoption and welcomed little baby Isla into the family. I think she is the perfect fit.

Oliver and Nolan exhibiting typical brother territory battles.

Beautiful baby Isla, or Lala as they are calling her.

She is adapting quite well and sleeps through all the noise of two rambunctious boys.

Time to take a ride in the family elevator! This game keeps these guys occupied for hours.

More territorial battles.

Sweet little Nolan.

Oliver trying to decide if its worth jumping in.

We always take a little walk down the street for pictures. The rain that day didn't stop us.

Dad and daughter

Bath time. All together, boys, dogs and all. I love how both Oliver and Nolan are touching their heads. Something so brotherly about that.

Abbie's first birthday!

Abbie's birthday party was a blast. She has it made at her grandparents who own all these blow up playgrounds! They were an obvious hit with all the kiddos. Time sure flies when you are having fun. You can look back at Abbie at two weeks old and six months old. I have been loving the babies first year packages. I get to watch these kids grow and its so much fun.

Abbie was excited about the party!

Little AJ, you might recognize him, with his new found friend.

peekaboo!

Loved the cake, not only looked delicious it was!

Laughing at something dad said. Love this image.

mmm her own personal cake!

Messy chocolate baby!

Trying to escape but dad caught up and gave her tickles.

You have to love a baby in a tutu.

The happy family on a special day!
I can't believe a year has come and gone, thank you so much for everything! It has been so much fun to see Abbie grow.

Beach Family Photos Teaser

I apologize to my loyal blog stalkers! This summer has been pretty crazy, can't complain but I am a bit behind in editing jobs right now. I will have a larger post for this awesome family with a slideshow next week. I wanted to get some teasers up for everyone though, thank you for being so patient.

Isn't this a good looking family?
Meet Georgie

You remember J.P. from last fall right? Cute as ever.

Nile

Jolie

Baby Jane, loving the water.

And last but not least Griffith.
We had lot of fun a the beach! Such a great family. Stay tuned next week for more.

Ekash, One Year!

Little Ekash can seriously steal your heart! This boy is so adorable. He has changed so much since I saw him last fall, its crazy! He is walking now and has such a personality.

He is still very curious about the camera.

He has the cutest little wiggle when he walks. You can totally see it here.

He likes to share his toys

At home on the playground

Now this is a super special moment. Ekash is walking all over the place but he still crawls up steps, well that was until now! This is his very first time walking up steps unassisted, with mom in the back just in case. He did it all on his own.

My favorite!

Happy Father and Son.

Having some fun on the swing.

Love this little moment

Seriously one adorable family
Be sure to check out the slideshow for more and for the sequence of Ekash's first walk up the steps by himself. It was difficult choosing which images to feature by themselves.

Baby Ryder Session 2

Wow Ryder has grown so much and is so cute I could just take him home, no worries I would never do that. He has changed so much since our first session in January! It always amazes me how fast these babies grow up. Tina and Nick are more excited in love with this boy every day! It was so funny listening to them behind me as we got the black velvet series of shots, they can sure make that little boy crack up. I had a wonderful time as usual, this family is always fun to be around.

Ryder looks a lot like Nick right now but there is no mistaking he has his mothers gorgeous eyes.

See what I mean about those eyes! No enhancing on my part.

A fun little grouping

See what I mean about getting this kid to crack up, just wait for the slideshow!
Love this of mother and son.

My favorite family portrait.

It was a warm day, so why not go in the pool?

This one is all about the moment. This was the very first time they submerged him under water.

Swimming makes you hungry

And guess who gets to finish the bottle! YUM!
Again it was a pleasure you guys! I always love my visits and can't wait to see how much Ryder grows over the summer! See you this fall.

Baby AJ, One Year

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of hanging out with baby AJ and his parents. It is actually a little bit of six degrees of separation with this family. I first met AJ's dad Mark back in October when shooting Erika and Ryan's engagement session. Mark had seen us wandering the neighborhood and invited us up to his roof deck to take some shots. An awesome gesture that just made the already awesome day even better. Erika and Ryan actually had one of the shots from the roof deck framed at the wedding last weekend. Anyway, I had mentioned to Mark that I did children sessions, I noticed baby stuff, but Annemarie was not in town at that time. So time went by and I hear from Annemarie, turns out she is in the same play group as baby Abbie and her parents recommended me. She showed Mark images from baby Abbie's session and his response was "yeah thats the girl I told you about!" HA, small world. So we finally got a session scheduled for AJ's one year. I love this family, you guys are awesome. I had such a blast. Lets look at some images and the slideshow is at the bottom.

My favorite of Mark and AJ.

Cracking up at AJ, wanting to eat the triangle.

AJ loves to help make the bed, you will see why in the slideshow.

Their house is AMAZING, love this skylight from the 3rd floor looking down.

You can really see how in love these parents are with this little boy.

This is actually one of my favorites. Just something about the light from the fridge, food on the ledge, foot on the ledge for support and just the beauty in little everyday things.

Trying to escape!

The interaction of this family is very fun, tender and genuine.

high five on the swings!
hahahaha! Mark has this thing between him and AJ. Mark always tries to "eat" him. You know its a father son thing, AJ just loves it. I love this one.

We browsed a little garage sale on the way back, AJ really liked this mirror.
There are many many more, check the slideshow out. You guys are awesome and I can't tell you enough how much I enjoyed our session.

Coming soon to a blog near you!

Okay, so yes I have been a tad absent with the blog posts as of late. I do have a good reason, I have been traveling and shooting and traveling and shooting, well you get the idea! I have a ton on deck, so I thought I would give you the line up in order of whats next here at the Joy Moody blog!

First up will be Blair and Mark married June 6th! Such a fun evening full of surprises. This image is one they talked about when I first met with them a year and a half ago! Meadowcroft is their new last name so it only seemed appropriate to do a little shoot with this sign which was conveniently located down the street from the reception.

Then we have Marybeth and Adam. Marybeth happens to be one of my best friends, we were roommates for a semester in College. I traveled down to Ocean City Maryland to have a little visit and engagement session with these two beautiful people. They both work at Seacrets and they also met there so it was the obvious choice to do the engagement session there.

These are all of Adams favorite things.

Some moodybabies will grace the blog as well! This is baby A.J. Talk about a small world but I first met A.J's dad during Erika and Ryan's engagement session, he let us take some pictures up on their roof deck, we then figured out that AJ was in a play group with baby Abbie! We had such a fun time, cant' wait to share these!
Then baby Ryder! Oh my how this little boy has grown since our first session. He is so adorable I can't even express his cuteness.
Then up is Mandy and Ryan's wedding. They were married in Nebraska this past weekend, June 20th. Don and I had a most enjoyable time with their family and friends and the wedding was so much fun!
I am playing a lot of catchup this week and gearing up for Erika and Ryans wedding on Saturday! So keep an eye out on all the eye candy that will soon grace the blog.

Three Generations

Last weekend I went home to New Mexico to visit my Mom and Grandma for Mothers day. I had not been home in almost a year and I have not spent Mother's day with my mom in well I can't even remember how long! My Mom requested a visit and since I luckily didn't have a wedding, a little schedule rearranging was all I needed to do to make the trip possible. I had a great visit and I am so happy I was able to spend time with my Mom and Grandma.

I am a third generation New Mexican.
When you don't have someone to take a picture of everyone together this is what you have to resort to! I love this photo of all of us though.

This has to be my all time favorite image of my mom and Grandma.

Grandma just turned 85 in April!

The cactus in my mom's court yard was in bloom, isn't it gorgeous?

Here's my mom with the necklace I gave her for Mother's Day.

The new growth on the cactus was amazing. Look at the little baby spikes.

Ooh that new growth is so cute. I love this image.
Its hard having family living so far away, I don't get to do the normal things you do with family on a regular basis. Even in New Mexico its hard because everyone lives at least three hours from each other. My mom and I had a great visit though. She was here in PA over Christmas but with Alma, our dog, getting sick we really didn't get to visit and do all the fun things we wanted to do. I pampered my mom for Mothers day that's for sure. We had a lovely brunch at St. Claire Winery, shopping in Old Mesilla and we had manicures and pedicures. She just moved into a new place as well and her yard/courtyard is so cute. It has a lot of tree's and cactus, its very shaded and protected which makes it so comfortable. I love her new little place.

Mothers Day Belly

With Mothers day fast approaching I thought it only seemed appropriate to share some images from a special families recent session. These guys have been with me from when I first started getting my official business off and running. Our first belly shoot was with little Nuala and she is now 3 and very excited to be a big sister. Rebecca is due right around Mothers day, what better gift could you ask for? I have been including more and more children in these shoots, as returning clients have new babies and families grow. I am continually surprised at how well the children listen and put up with my manual focusing and directing. Photographing children can be tricky and with film even trickier. Nuala was great, she is so sweet and already showing mom and dad what a good big sister she will be.

With our first belly shoot when Nuala was in the belly we did a shot in this same chair and a slightly different angle on the legs, they have it framed above their bed so for the new baby we did this variation which will join the other print on the wall.

Rebecca looks gorgeous. She has such a perfect belly.

A nice little moment between mother and daughter.

Happy Mothers day to all my Mom's out there, I hope you have a wonderful day! I am off today to visit my Mom in New Mexico for Mothers day. I couldn't tell you the last time I spent Mothers day with her so when she requested a visit and I didn't have a wedding booked it was a no brainer.

Paying it Forward for the Langdon's.

As photographers yes we have the eye to capture great moments and we get great stuff for our families. Problem is that either we are never in those photos for obvious reasons, or its a cheesy self portrait, or with families its always only one parent at a time as the other takes the picture. Family photos are hard to come by when you are a professional photographer with a growing family. Last week I spent some time with the Langdon's. Steve and Sara are professional wedding photographers here in Philadelphia and they just recently welcomed a new addition into the family. Sara gave birth at home a few weeks ago. I was also born at home and love the fact that many more woman are choosing to go this route.

I wanted to capture some great family images for them. So this is going to be a big post of images because I love them all and couldn't take any more out.

Meet the Langdon's. Sara, Olive, Luke and Steve.

Olive was very interested.
Feet!!

Little man Luke.

Olive ready for her close up.

Luke won't fit in daddy's hand for too much longer!

Who's there? Is that an Olive I see?

Olive is very helpful.

I love this.

Some special moments for Sara.

This just makes me smile. Luke happy and full.

With Olive down for a nap we got some shots with just Luke with mom and dad.

Can't forget Yoda. Yep Yoda the adorable pug.

Luke and Yoda. Ha, hey are you guys Star Wars fans?

Probably my favorite.

Yoda doesn't have any interest in Olive but he loves Luke.

Too cute!
I had such a great time guys! Thank you for the yummy lunch! See you tomorrow hopefully.

Baby Titus Session 3

Saturday I got to hang out with Maygan, Dan and Titus again. Its been so fun watching this little guy grow up! They have a family pass to Longwood gardens and frequently take trips there so it was the natural choice of places to go. It was a tad rainy out too so being inside the gorgeous gardens was perfect.

Here is Titus warming up. Love those eyes.

He is getting to be such a big boy!

There are so many neat water features in the children's garden. Titus was having a blast putting his fingers and toes in the water. He was a bit soaked after this one.

He loves hanging out with daddy and getting rides on dads head and shoulders.

Oh Spring! I think Titus is excited too.

Love this little moment.

At the end we went exploring outside a bit and actually found some flowering trees. Around here trees are just starting to come into bloom depending on the area you are in.

Happy clapping baby!

He wasn't too keen about being in the crocus.
Love the scale in this one.

Its so amazing to watch these babies grow! You can see earlier sessions here, session 1, session 2. We have one more, the one year, I can't believe almost a year has passed!

Happy St. Patricks Day!

I hope everyone is having a great week! Its the off season but things have still been terribly busy around here, that's a good thing. Album designs being sent out every week is keeping me on my toes to say the least. I will post some here soon. Today I am actually going up to visit one of my companies, which I am very excited about.
Yesterday was Don's Birthday! We didn't do much, he teaches and with the end of the term and finals its been a bit hectic. So we will celebrate this weekend.
I wanted to post a few more shots that Ryan took of us the day we closed on the house. Ryan recently hooked me up with more images I hadn't seen and I had to share these. So in the spirit of St. Patricks day and Don's Birthday here are some images. Have a great one.

I can't help but crack up at this every time I see it. Totally Don's personality.

Have a great day!

Ready for spring

We are ready for spring time. We spent some time in the yard today cleaning up leaves, picking up sticks and wandering. Okay, so Don did the leaves and sticks part, Alma and I did the wandering part. She is like a young child and must be kept an eye on at all times or she will find her way into our neighbors house, which has happened twice now. She naturally follows me around so we spent some time inspecting the yard and checking out the first signs of spring.

Here we are smelling the flowers. She is so cute when she sticks that little tongue out.
She has actually been sleeping with her tongue out a bit lately. We find it very funny.

My favorite. She was a very good subject today and took direction well. Its not often you can get a good shot of her and see her eyes. She is a Hungarian sheep dog, Puli, not a jamacian rosta dog. Her hair naturally cords like this. She is seriously the sweetest thing around.
Can't forget to mention our new Vermont Cart. Don was very excited to get this bad boy. We are big fans of made in the USA. Our friends parents in Vermont have one of these carts and Don hasn't stopped thinking about it. We finally have our own, with our own little personal touch added.
Hope you are having a great weekend.

Baby Abigail Session 2

Baby Abbie is growing up! Its simply amazing how much she has changed since our shoot in August, granted she was only two weeks old when I saw her last and she is now just seven months. It was really cute to see how excited Ross and Margo were to document some of the day to day activities. They couldn't be more thrilled with their little girl and rightly so, she is adorable.

During lunch she was fascinated with me, wondering what I was doing.

Sitting up, her baby model pose. Check out those big dreamy eyes.

Oh My gosh, so much about this one. The expression, the wave, the adorable baby fat. Too cute.

Happy Baby!

She was just as happy as she could be the whole time. Cuddling up with mom after her bath.

Family portrait time.
Charlie, the cat on the left, supposedly is very shy and doesn't come out for anyone. Anyone but me and Margo's dad that is. What can I say, I am an animal person. Charlie is very friendly, as is Louie can't go with out mentioning him. Louie is "the baby sitter". He keeps an eye on Abbie.

Cute overload. Man, some of my favorite images come from simple changing table photos.
Abbie in her crib, hanging with her friends.
LOVE this moment at the park.
Sunday was awesome. The weather couldn't have been more perfect and it put me in the mood for spring. I had such a fun time. Can't wait to see Abbie at one year!!

Baby Parker

Disclaimer: This post has a lot of images it it!

I couldn't help myself. Parker is way too adorable. She has so much expression and I had such a good time with her and her parents.

We started off playing a little tambourine, she is hinting that it might be my turn to play here.

We had some fun family time. Lots of tickling involved.

Very interested in everything.

Floor time with daddy.

More music in the kitchen, this time with home made instruments.

A bit to drink and some Cheerios.

We did a lot of hanging out by her favorite window. Its just her height, love this image.

Little pudgy hands.

The view from the other side. Love this one too.
Did I mention this is her favorite spot?

Then upstairs for a wardrobe change and to play a little.

Too much, the cuteness is too much!

Being swept off her feet by daddy, she didn't mind a bit.

Back to the window!

This is up there for my favorite of the day.

Check out that belly!

Getting strapped in for some fun time.

And last but not least a classic family portrait.

I warned you it was a lot of images! I had such a great time with you guys. Check out the slideshow below for more favorites from the day.

Baby Sadie, Session 1

I am loving these newborn sessions! They are so tiny and so adorable. Sunday I had the pleasure of spending some time with Mike, Morgan, Fez and new baby Sadie. Morgan looks simply amazing for having delivered Sadie a week ago. OK so if we are counting this week today Friday Sadie is officially two weeks old. Time has already flown by. I can't wait to see this little girl grow up, slowly of course.

I believe this is my favorite family portrait of the day. I love their interaction and that you can see their love for each other and Sadie shine through.

We couldn't have a true "family" portrait with out including puppy Fez.

My favorite of Mike and Sadie.

Mother daughter bonding. Isn't that foot to die for?
Speaking of feet....
I think they will spend hours looking at her like this.

Fez is a puppy and super excited but he was so good around Sadie. They are going to be best buds.

I think Mike is excited about his new baby daughter, don't you?
I bet she has already changed so much and it hasn't even been a week! Looking forward to our next shoot, you guys are great.

If anyone out there is interested in a MoodyBaby first year package shoot me an email, they are a lot of fun.

Baby Ryder Session 1

This past Saturday I visited Tina and Nick and met baby Ryder for the first time. It was not long ago when we did our belly session and its always amazing to see "the final product". He is so handsome and adorably cute. Not to mention his parents and grandparents couldn't be more thrilled to have him. He is the first boy to join the list of grandchildren and Tina and Nick were told they would never have children. So this has been a most momentous occasion for the whole family.

Meet the new family

They are all pretty much my favorites, love this one.

My favorite.

We call this one The Lion King shot.

Big hands, little feet

Ryder always has a leg out. No matter how much you wrap him up he finds a way to get one leg out of the blanket.

Tina looks simply amazing for giving birth two weeks ago.

It makes me smile to see images from their belly session prominently displayed in the living room, they look awesome. I also just love this image with the belly shots in back and the newly arrived baby.

Heart melter.

He was so good! He was awake for most of the session and he was so bright eyed.

Another heart melter.

Similar but I love this one too, couldn't decide which one to show.
It was so fun hanging out with you all, thank you for the shake and the wine! I can not wait to watch this little guy grow up. He is so adorable. See you in a few months.

Baby Titus Session 2

A few weeks ago I got to visit baby Titus for the second time. He has grown so much since July! It was so enjoyable to see all his new expressions and personality come through.

We had a little breakfast
Couch time with Dad

Bouncy fun time
Naked time! Too adorable. Love his eyes.

Showing some of that personality

Quiet time on the bed with Mom and Dad

By the end of the session he was totally tuckered out! So down for a nap he went. Nighty night.
It was such a pleasure seeing you all again. I look forward to our next shoot in a few months, I can't even begin to imagine how much Titus will change from now until then.

Meena Session 2!

Oh my how little Meena has grown! I couldn't get over it. I was last there in May, it feels like it was just yesterday.
So to just back track a tad to secure my point better, here is Meena this past may. Uber cuteness.

And here she is now, can you get over it? I know how parents feel, the kids grow up too fast!
Snack time, the dogs know the place to be!

My favorite family photo. Last time the session was a fathers day surprise for Ameet, it was great to have the whole family in the shoot this time.

Meena is conquering the stairs quite nicely.

Getting a better view of the star on the tree.

They used this image for their Holiday cards. Too cute.

Love the interaction here.
weee!
Uh oh! Who's getting into the pots and pans?

Enjoying story time, well turning the pages at least.
Meena is one year old! Wow. Still totally adorable and I just adore the whole family. It was great getting to spend time with you all again. Have a happy new year.

Ellena 2008

Its been so fun to watch little Ellena grow up! This shoot was especially fun for me because the last couple of times I have seen Ellena has been at Melissa and Mikes wedding, the rehearsal dinner, bachelorette party (no she didn't go out with us but she was at the house before hand), bridal shower etc.. All those events have been so crazy with people and so much going on that it was hard to have quality time. Earlier in December we did our yearly shoot for her and it was so refreshing to have a little conversation with her, she was focused on the visit and playing with her toys, ya know normal kid stuff. She is just too adorable. Melissa and Mike have done a wonderful job.

She loves her rocking horse
We had tea time, although Ellena got all the cookies!
Just random fun on the floor with the stuffed animals. Kids do the darndest things.

May have been a total mistake on my part, but it was a happy mistake. Love this one.
They didn't have their tree set up yet, but the one on the deck was "all decked out" hahaha.
I am not all that great at humor sometimes can ya tell?

Everyone braving the frigid weather that day for fun family portraits.

Love this one of Ellena and Melissa.
As usual, awesome hanging out. So bummed I missed the holiday party, but looking forward to having you guys out to the house soon!
enjoy the slideshow

Kutz Family Christmas Surprise!

A few weeks ago I got to spend some time with the Kutz family. There are a lot of kiddos in this family and the shoot was a special shoot for a Christmas surprise for dad. I think they all kept it secret too, which I think is amazing! Nobody has seen the photos until today so the images themselves were are a surprise for everyone!

Let me introduce the family. Ladies first.

The youngest Emma. So darn cute.
The beautiful Erin
The oldest Nathan
Next up is Ian, love his Lego's.
Owen and their pooch Toby
Last but certainly not least Evan, who finally warmed up to me. He was a bit shy at first.
The whole happy family, well minus parents.
I had a fantastic time and I hope that you all have a very Merry Christmas.

Holiday Giveaway Winner!

Well this was a tough decision to make! My family and Don's family discussed all the entries and everyone kept coming back to one so our decision was made!

The winning family is Dave and Grace Stanley. They were nominated by Stephanie Spence. Dave goes to the same church and Steph thought they were greatly in need and deserving of this gift.

Dave and Grace have 16 children. Ten of them are adopted. Five have passed away and six are grown and out to the house, five still at home. Four of the children still at home have special needs. Two of them are twins, they are 12 years old one with cerebral palsy and the other is hyper with autism. The other children are older, in school and holding jobs despite their special needs.

I called Dave this evening to chat with him and give him the good news. His answering machine picked up first and the message was that they couldn't get to the phone due to the caring of the children. You have to know they are a deserving family if they don't normally have a chance to answer the phone because of the children. As I was leaving a message they picked up and I think Dave was a bit overwhelmed. He described his children as home grown and hand picked. He is retired and he described his wife Grace as a domestic engineer, they have been married for 42 years. She stays at home and keeps it all together while caring for the children. He has a great sense of humor and I could tell that he was excited to have this gift to share with his family on Christmas. He said there will be over 18 people sleeping at his house tonight!

Dave I am very excited to present you a gift certificate for 1,500.00! Stephanie is also receiving a 500.00 gift certificate for nominating you. We will schedule your shoot sometime in the new year. It will be very exciting to help you decorate your house with images of your family.

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday!

Giving IS Awesome

Tis the season to be Joyful! What better way to bring Joy, hehe yeah that's me, into your home this year! My wonderful friends Justin and Mary Marantz inspired me to join this awesome growing number of photographers around the county and the world to donate my services to someone who is truly in need and could never afford in a million years to hire a professional photographer.

Here is the deal:
You know someone. You know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can’t afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty.

You know someone. I guarantee it.

I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography session– $1500 worth, to be exact. Whether it’s canvas or albums, or prints for Grandma…it’s in your power to give them the artwork they deserve this holiday season.

Oh, and guess what else? The person who nominates the winner receives a $500 credit for my photographic services. What better reason to show some love could there possibly be?

The rules:

You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage payments for a two-million-dollar-vacation-home in the Italy does not qualify as sincere financial need.)

The nominee must reside in Philadelphia or the surrounding suburbs. Please email me and tell me who you know, what they’re experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself . Photographs are always welcome but not required.

I will announce my winner on Christmas Eve, so start writing those emails and lets brighten someones holiday this year.

And all my fellow photographer friends, yeah you know who you are, feel free to follow my lead! How many families can we help this holiday season? Lets bring up those numbers for PA!

***If you plan on getting involved, please hit up the registration page so that your involvement is counted toward the goal!!

Baby Ekash

Little Ekash, on my gosh, is so adorable. He is so tall and skinny for a six month old and oh those eyes could melt your heart. He was such a pleasant and happy baby for the whole session! We had so much fun.

Love this one with his Mom

Such a big room for a little boy, will be fun to watch him grow in this room.
What did I tell ya about those eyes? He is sucking on his favorite giraffe.

The window light was just amazing.
Some family fun

Hang time with Dad.
Sweet tender kisses from Mom.

His room is decorated really fun, I love the sweater, pictures and cards pinned up on string.
Cute overload. Love the specs of dust in the air, gives the image an added magical feeling.

I think babies look good with a little flare.
Such a fun morning hanging out with you all. Ekash is so adorable.

Baby Lulu and little man Gus

A few weeks ago I spent a lovely morning with baby Lulu and little Gus. Last I saw them Gus was very shy and baby Lulu was still in Mom's belly. I just love coming back to spend time with families after seeing them before the baby is born. Its amazing how fast these kiddos grow up, I now understand what all the grown ups would say when I was little and how big I had gotten.

Lulu just loves to hang out, she is such a pleasant baby.
Gus getting big, in his new favorite jammies coloring some dinosaurs.
Adorable baby Lulu, seriously a heart melter.
Gus is such a good big brother, and one of the most polite little boys I have ever met.
Bath time! I adore Lulu in this shot and I also enjoy Gus in the back not wanting his hair washed.

Changing table moments are some of my favorite. I love the interaction with Lulu and Dad.
Isn't this one just so cozy?

What a great looking family.

This child is just too adorable for words.

Gus enjoying his whirly pop, courtesy of yours truly. These pops have saved the day on more than one occasion now! They also make fun photos.
Love Lulu's little furry vest.
We went to the playground for a bit, played a little and then the wind really picked up and it got super cold! I captured some fun moments on the swings though.
Lulu got to swing a little by herself too.
I had such a fun morning! You guys were great and your children an absolute pleasure to photograph.

Baby J.P.

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of hanging out with baby J.P., his mom, dad and can't forget the cats and dogs! J.P kept us on our toes as we chased him and kept him busy.

Warning, cute overload in the images below!

Geeze, can this kid get any cuter? I mean really?
We had fun playing in the leaves
Hi mom and dad! Weee!
Love this! His little fingers holding on ever so tightly as he pulls himself up the big step.

Just love those eyes.
Keiser the german sheppard was the sweetest thing, so good with J.P too. Love this image.

I warned you about the cute overload!

I love the interaction with everyone here, makes you want to clap your hands doens't it?
Pucker up!
What an adorable family
Keiser, the protector.
It may be out of focus, but I still love it!
As you can tell I had a hard time choosing images to feature! So many great images from this session! I had so much fun.

Fun Family Portraits

A few weekends ago I had the pleasure of spending a fun filled Sunday morning with April, Phil and Lucy's family. You may remember the very sweet little Lucy, well she has grown into an energetic two year old! This session was a Christmas gift to Phil's mom last Christmas. So it was exciting to meet everyone after months of anticipation. We had a blast, I can testify to that! The kids gave me a run for my money! Phil's sister Amy and her family were there with their two children Zoe and Oak. This is such a great family and I will give advanced warning that I just finished the slideshow, watched it and found myself tearing up. What a wonderful gift for Grandma, I am so glad I got to be a part of it.
I will introduce the kiddos first.

Little Lucy

Cousin Oak, Oak and Lucy are a few months apart in age.

A very mature 5 year old Zoe.

Fun time with Grandma
Oak, with a tough guy attitude.

Fun time in the fall leaves.

I love this image of Lucy just before tossing the leaves in the air.
I am a firm believer in bringing the true personalities out. We did get some very nice smile look at the camera photos from this series, but I love this one.

The little princess.
Grandma with her Scottie, such a sweet dog and I love this image.

And last but not least my favorite family portrait.

You all were wonderful! Thank you for having me for lunch, you have such a warm and inviting home.

Enjoy your Slideshow

Maddy & Logan

I had my yearly shoot with the Westcott family last week and it was so much fun. Maddy and Logan are not only adorable but super fun kids. Like last year they were super excited because when I come over they are allowed to break rules like jumping on the bed.

How about these hovercraft kids?

This shot was all Logan's idea. He wanted everyone to line up in order of height. I'd say it worked out great!
You always have to take some chances to get good shots! I frequently risk getting hit doing photographs like this, but luckily I have not been harmed.
I love this one of Maddy
Family Portrait 2008, love those fall colors.
I love how Maddy and Logan interact with each other.
This is such a brother sister shot.
Logan showing off his Karate moves!
What would the session be with out an awesome shot of Marissa & Jim, happy parents!
Kids will be kids.
I am not really a smile and say cheese type of person, I much prefer genuine personalities to show through.
It was fantastic hanging out with you guys again! I can't wait till next year.

Baby Abigail Session 1

Last week I had the pleasure of spending time with Ross, Margo and baby Abigail. Abigail was two weeks old last week and oh so adorable. She was very sleepy as most newborns are but we did have some good awake time with her. Mom and Dad are so excited to have her around, its so nice to watch the bonding of baby and new parents.

Tiny hands
Tiny head
Tiny feet
She is so adorable. I love her expression here.
The new family
Wondering what this lady is doing with that big camera.
As new parents I think this is what they do the majority of the time, look in wonder and amazement at Abigail. I don't blame them.
We can not forget the other children.
The cats were very curious and took quite the liking to me and the camera.
This was our first of three sessions to document Abigail's first year. I am so excited to watch her grow and watch this family grow. Looking forward to our next visit. Until then.

Baby Titus, session 1

It has been a crazy week for me. I am pretty tardy on my slideshows at the moment. Sorry about that! I am catching up now though and watch out! As you can see I have fixed our internet problem. One apple extreme station later and we are up and uploading!
Last Friday I got to meet baby Titus for the first time. I am very excited that I get to see him three more times over the course of the year. I am doing babies first year coverage for Maygan and Dan. Its going to be very exciting watching Titus grow up as well as everyone as a family.

Titus, which is such an awesome strong name, is always hungry.
He is going to grow up to be a big boy!
For scale, it will be fun to watch him grow.
He is very alert.
One happy family, minus a scardie cat dog. :)
I really enjoy this little moment.
Maygan and Dan's mothers were visiting as well. This is a pretty special grandchild. It was wonderful to meet them and I am so happy they were there for Titus's first photo session.

Julie Pete & Logan Family Engagement

Friday evening I spent some time with Pete, Julie and Logan. Pete and Julie are getting married in August and instead of doing a more traditional engagement session we decided to make it a family affair. Logan pretty much called the shots on this shoot, we followed him and did what he wanted to do. He moves quick too! We went on a walk through the neighborhood and then down to love park. The light Friday night was a dream.

This is one good looking family don't ya think?
Mr. Logan all grown up in his little car just chillin.
I always enjoy letting the kids loose and seeing what they do, you had to keep a close eye on this guy though. I like that you can see Pete making sure the little man was ok.
Amazing light like I said. I think this is my favorite color family photo of the day.
I had to include this one because I can't tell you how excited I am to see these guys on their wedding day. Julie is amazingly gorgeous. I love this image, she didn't even know I took it.
It was great spending time with you guys.
We are going to have a great time on the wedding day.

Baby Ari

Tuesday I finally got to meet baby Ari. His mom and I have been in contact since October about it was finally time to schedule a shoot for him. This little man is a riot. It took him a few minutes to figure me out, we woke him up from a nap and he was very skeptical of me at first. He warmed up pretty quick though and we got down to some good ole playing.

Meet baby Ari
Hanging with mom in the rocker but cracking up at dad off to the side.
There are some fun sequences in the slideshow of mom and dad giving Ari a ride.
I particularly enjoy this image all by itself.
Ari has one of the most animated smiles I have seen.
I loved this bed.
This is my favorite family shot of the day.

So much fun you guys. It was great to meet you!
Have a wonderful 4th of July.

Baby Riley Slideshow!

Ok, finally getting caught up! As you may remember I had a super fun photo shoot with Riley before heading out of town for Chris and Jess's wedding. It brightened my day today going back through to choose the slideshow images and I got this sweet message from Liz while I was away:
"A teaser is right!!! I love every single picture you "teased" me with and cannot wait to see more! You did such a fantastic job~ Riley has not stopped talking about you since we met. Every day she asks if you are coming to see her again. AND-- the "chocolate bear" has been added to her night time repertoire. "

Love that and I hope to see Riley again soon!
Here are a few more images and check out the slideshow at the bottom.
Love the bubbles and this shot
Riley would have been completely happy if she could have been the one taking pictures, she was totally into how my camera worked. So we did a couple of self portraits and made some funny faces.

In the process of getting some nice family shots again Riley was more interested in taking the photos so I assisted her with this one. I framed it up and she pushed the button, not bad!So much fun you guys, I know you will have a fun time watching the slideshow. I could think of no other song suitable than what I choose.

Baby Riley Teaser

The last few days have been a whirl wind and its not over yet! Yesterday I traveled up to New Haven CT to talk with the CT Pictage users about maternity photography. It was my very first speaking engagement and I was super nervous. Despite getting rained out of our original beach shoot everyone still gathered at Steve Depino's for dinner and to listen to me speak and give a small demo. The wonderful Missy was the belly model and I will have a few photos to share in a couple weeks. Everyone was great and from the feedback I think I was able to inspire a few people and give them some new ideas.
I grabbed this from Erik Maziarz's blog

I headed back home this morning just in time to head back out to meet up with the Haring's who won my Mothers day contest. Baby Riley is way too cute and so fun. I don't have time before we leave in the morning for Vermont to do a slide show but I wanted to leave you with a few teasers. I had such a great time this afternoon and the weather was perfect!

We played a lot! And attempted to catch butterflies.
Relaxing in the hammock
bubble time
Riley does a very good job of blowing bubble as well as catching them.
Such a sweet girl
And what afternoon would not be complete with out playing in the sandbox?
There are many more where these came from including some really fun family portraits. Check back next week sometime for more and a slideshow.

I will be out of town until Wednesday. Chris and Jess are getting married this Saturday in Bennington Vermont and we are taking a couple of extra days there to relax.

Baby Vienna Estes

I think I have been in super moodybaby mode! But I love the babies they are so much fun and rewarding. Tuesday was no different. Don and I headed out to Ryan and Kelly's to meet baby Vienna to do a little photo shoot and have dinner. It is always going to be tricky when a photographer becomes a parent because its hard to get photos together as a family when you are the one used to taking all the photos. I know Ryan and Kelly will have a ton of offers along the way for a family shoot within our circle of photographer friends, but I was first. :) hehehehe.

Meet Vienna and her dad Ryan, Vienna is six weeks old.
The happy Estes family
A lot of holding baby, looking at baby, rocking baby goes on in this house.

So sweet!
LOVE this one
I loved the swirls in Vienna's hair. This is a sweet nursing shot.
Mom soothing baby
One cool bit of info that I don't believe Ryan has talked about on his blog is that they are using cloth diapers for Vienna. Part of the deal to use them was if they had a service that would wash them so Kelly found one in Reading and they get a delivery of fresh cloth diapers every week. How cool is that?

Baby Isaac

I was so excited to meet up with Deb and Malk this past Sunday and meet the new addition to their family. I was almost one year to the date of their wedding last year and how things have changed! Deb and Malk have been together forever and I remember when I got the message from Deb telling me they were expecting little Isaac I was so excited for them. They live in upstate NY but their family is all around Philly so this past weekend they came down and introduced Isaac to everyone. I caught up with them at Malk's parents house near Rittenhouse Square.

Meet baby Isaac, snoozing after a little breakfast.
Making faces at Daddy
Cute feet shot
Malk with the stroller waiting while Deb and I got our coffee fix.

They new family
Malk's parents were so excited to have Isaac visiting.
It was so great to see you guys and catch up. I look forward to seeing you again next year and watching this little man grow.

Little Maya

I adore this family. I have such a great time every time I see them and they are just genuinely wonderful people. I can't believe how much Maya has grown since I saw her last year, you have to check out last years shoot.

Maya has the most amazing eyes I have ever seen.

We recreated a couple shots we took last time to show how much she has grown over the past year. I love comparing these shots.

One more.

Maya's bed has transitioned into a big girl bed. She was allowed and actually instructed to jump on her bed just for me. I don't think she minded at all.
So this image is so sweet, Maya was having fun jumping on the bed and putting necklaces on her rocker dog when she came over and sat in my lap. She was very interested to see some of the images I had just taken of her jumping on the bed. It was such a sweet moment for me.
She got dressed in her new fancy dress for this year and we headed outside to get some more "formal" photos.
Isn't she adorable, she is waving at everyone walking by.
Such a beautiful family.
When I first arrived at the house Katria told me that of course Maya didn't get up at her usual time of 8 a.m. but instead 6 a.m. and she was getting a little tired. George and Katria did a great job of doing all the things Maya loves to do to keep her moving and happy. But when Maya gets tired she starts to play with her hair, pulling a little strand through her fingers. It is too adorable for words. By the time our session was over she was ready for bed and went to lie down with no instruction. She is such a good girl. You can see her playing with her hair in this image while reading a book before her nap. I know I keep saying it, but its too darn adorable.

Baby Charlie

Sunday I went up to hang out with Charlie and his parents Maura and Will. Will had surprised Maura on Valentines Day with a gift certificate for a photo session. We waited for the weather to get nicer and Sunday was perfect. It rained towards the end but we didn't let it get us down.

Meet Charlie. He loves helping his mom with chores around the house.
There is an awesome park across the street, which is where they spend most of their time.
Charlie loves the slide, he can go down forwards and backwards.
This is my favorite image of Charlie and Maura.
This kid is going to be a heart throb.
More play time on the swing in front of the house.
The only downside to the playground across the street is that they don't have any swings for little kids.
They go to Valley Green all the time so it was important for us to go and get some family shots there. We had to leave Morgan the dog at home for this one though.
I just love this image
One last family portrait before the slideshow.
It was so much fun hanging out with you guys, it was so great to finally meet you! I had a great time.

Baby Zoe

Saturday morning I got to hang out with Zoe, Amber and Taylor. It was such a blast. Last you remember Amber was her belly session! Well so much has changed since I saw them last. Little Zoe is now 8 months old developing a wonderful personality and Amber and Taylor couldn't be more excited to be parents.
It was really funny when we began the session because Zoe was down for her nap and we had to decide how to get her up. Taylor and Amber fought over who would go into the room first to wake her up, you will see in the slideshow its too darn cute.
They are about the most excited new parents I have ever met.
Such a sweet moment after waking up.
Mmm. Lunch time! Gotta love that face and the faux hawk.
Bath time!
Love those eyes and the little curl of hair on top of her head.

Their bathroom is actually quite small and the spectacle of all three of us in there for bath time was hilarious. This is what Zoe saw.We introduced bubbles at bath time. I just love this one.
I love how inquisitive children are at this age.
It never bothers me that they reach out for the camera.
Every parent can relate to this image.
Gotta get them dressed quick before they make their escape!
A very nice timeless, classic family portrait. A good looking family as well.
I could have posted every image in the slideshow above but I had to restrain myself. Such a fun session, I had a blast and Zoe, Amber and Taylor make an adorable family.

Baby Meena

Wednesday I had so much fun with Meena and her mom Shannon. It was also coincidently Shannon's birthday, happy birthday Shannon. This shoot was not for her birthday as you might think but it is for a surprise Father's day gift. Not to worry Dad does not know about me and does not have any idea that this little shoot took place. :) I made sure about that, I don't want to spoil any surprises but I also get so excited to post the images and slideshow. So if you know Meena's dad, shhhhh its a secret!

Meet little Meena she is five and a half months old. Too darn cute.
She loves her Mama, barely takes her eyes off her.
They have a good time together and Shannon knows how to get a laugh out of her.
You can see some of the pooches in this image.
Two of the sweetest dogs ever and they absolutely adore Meena.
Ticklish cheeks. I love this image.
Heart melter, isn't she the cutest thing?
The dress she has on is her daddies favorite.
So calm ,cool and relaxed.
Here is where she earns her true moodybaby title. :)
Gotta capture the baby feet.
We wore little Meena out during the shoot. Shannon put her in bed before I left and she was out in a matter of minutes. I know Dad will love this surprise and I can't wait to come back for a full family session and see everyone again. I will have to remember to bring some treats and a toy for the doggies.

Happy Mother's Day, to my Mom!

I just wanted to send a special Mother's day to my Mom! I am so thankful for my mom and especially after this past year of ups and downs. We found out in December after almost a year of going through one test after another that she had gastric malt lymphoma, a form of stomach cancer. While this news was not what we wanted to hear, it was finally a diagnosis. My mom took the news with the most positive attitude and strength I have ever seen. After almost two years of loosing weight, not enjoying food, not having an appetite, feeling horrible and no doctors being able to give her an answer this was finally a turning point. She was finally able to concentrate on getting the treatment she needed. She never let her diagnosis get her down and she even surprised all her nurses and doctors with her upbeat enthusiasm. Her friends and my aunt have been so wonderful to be with her through all her chemotherapy treatments. My mom lives alone and it has been hard for Geoff and me to be so far away through all of this. I am so happy that she has people to check in on her and be there for her when she needs it.

She has been through four rounds of chemo and lost her hair, but she has gained weight and her appetite back. The last couple of months whenever I talk to her she can not stop talking about how much she is eating, what she ate that day, what she plans to eat later that day and how wonderful it all tastes! She has pushed through it all with such strength and after her last visit and round of tests the doctors say she has beaten the cancer! How awesome is that! She will still have to go in for certain treatments every couple of months to ward everything off but the worst seems to be over. She has been keeping a blog of her experiences and I am sure would love your comments and well wishes.

Of any one I know my mom has been a strong and selfless person. She has always encouraged me and my brother to go out and pursue our dreams, which has not always been easy for her. She raised us as a single mom, I can not even imagine how difficult that was. When I left on my national exchange in college to Towson Maryland and decided not to return to school in New Mexico she was heart broken but she supported me. My mom and I were best buds through out my high school years. Geoff was off to college and exploring other countries and we were all we had. I felt horrible leaving her by herself in New Mexico but I knew I needed to leave for better opportunities. When I recently left my full time job that was a safety crutch for me she was concerned and voiced all the things I needed to think about and take care of but she still supported me no matter how concerned she was.

She is one of the proudest mom's I know. I hear it all the time how she brags about me and Geoff and it makes me feel good that she is so proud because it really shows how great a parent she has been to raise us the way she did. She always wants the best for us. She also desperately wants grandkids, but thats a whole other conversation. :)

Mom I love you with all my heart and I am so proud of YOU! I love you.

Last week when we met up with Sarah and Jessica they took a few photos of us to surprise you with. Its not often when Geoff and I are together and it has been forever since we have had a decent photo together. These are for you and you will be receiving some prints of them.

Happy Mothers Day.

And The Winner Is...

Elizabeth Haring!!!!!

Congratulations Elizabeth! I am so excited to to meet you and your family.

Here were my mom's thoughts about your story:

I chose #2 because I know the difficulties this mother went through with a preemie. If you remember, your cousin Heather went through this. It seemed like she was always having to take Jonathan to the doctor for the first 4 years of his life. We don't have a lot of photos of him as a baby. This is a very true story of the "miracle" of birth. I really feel this mother and baby deserve this photo shoot and I am looking forward to seeing the photos when they are done.
Love you!
MOM

But not to worry Kaleo and Danica, it's mothers day and I can not let the day go by with out giving you a gift as well. So you both will receive 100.00 off a baby shoot with me!

Congratulations to you all and happy Mothers day!

Mothers Day Contest Finalists.

I am so excited that I have some entries for my Mothers day contest. Truthfully I was scared that nobody would send me anything, but you guys pulled through and I received three entries. I would have loved to receive more but I said that all I needed was three to give away a shoot and thats what I got! Next year I will make sure to give you guys more time I promise.

Since I only have three entries to choose from I feel a bit strange choosing the winner of the shoot so I am going to have my Mom choose the winner. (She doesn't know that yet though, surprise Mom!) What better person to decide the winner than my own Mother? Its the perfect solution. I will post the winner some time on Sunday.

Here are the entries I recieved:

#1 Kaleo Bird

My second child is exactly 1 month old today (May 7th). He’s our surprise baby boy. Not a surprise because we weren’t intending to have a baby, but a surprise because he’s boy.

When we went in for our sonogram at 19 weeks our radiologist wouldn’t give us a straight answer about the baby’s gender. Having done this once before with our first child (a girl) I pointed out to him, which I’m sure he appreciated, that the image had no penis.
“So it’s a girl, right?” I prodded.
“Not necessarily, the penis is sometimes hiding, and I can’t tell from this angle if that’s labia or scrotum.”
I thought, how is it that you can take a million cross-section photos from every angle of the baby’s internal organs, but you can’t make out the body parts on the outside of the baby? Luckily there was a resident in the room observing our scan and she could tell we were annoyed so she helpfully offered, “So -- 98 % chance it’s a girl.” We went with that.

I like to know the gender of our children ahead of time because I like to have whatever reaction I’m going to have before the baby is born. Also, I’m a planner. I enjoy selecting names and clothes and decorations ahead of time. No matter what the gender of the baby is there is a sense of loss for me, because before I can embrace the “flavor” of baby that we have been blessed with, I have to give up day-dreaming about the other option. I prefer to get this mourning “the road not taken” reaction out of the way before the actual baby arrives, so that I can be whole-ly joyful about them as individuals immediately.

When we found out we were having another girl, we knew that our daughter would be thrilled. My daughter, Noli, is two and half and very big on the whole gender thing right now. She wanted the baby to be a girl like her. When we would remind her that the baby might be a boy she would purse her little lips together and say, “I don’t like boy babies.” So we knew she would be pleased. My husband, Tu, has loved being the Daddy to a little girl and having grown up in a family of four boys wasn’t all that interested in having a boy anyway. He was annoyed when some people at work reassured him that he could always “try again” for a boy when he told them we were having another girl. He really doesn’t see having a girl as being “less” than having a boy.

I felt some disappointment initially. We weren’t planning on having anymore kids after this one and I would never know what it was like to parent a boy baby. I have had a very estrogen-laden life. I grew up with a sister and had very few male friends, and the ones I did have were gay. All of my dad’s friends were female and he had an aversion to sports. I had been hoping to gain insight and empathy into the male experience through a son.

Anyway, I soon let go of my baby boy fantasy and relaxed into the familiarity of raising another little girl. I know about tea parties and sisterhood and dolls and all things girly. My friendship with my younger sister is one of the most important relationships of my life and I was pleased to be able to give that experience to Noli too. We were going to name the new baby Violet.

On April 7, 2008 I sped though labor and delivery in 5 hours (a big relief after the 42 hours I had with my first child. Yes, you read that right, 42 hours!) and when I delivered the baby the mid-wife didn’t even check the gender, because I had told her it was girl and these days everyone knows this stuff ahead of time. Tu helped catch the baby and cut the cord but he also somehow missed the additional equipment on our baby “girl”. So when they put the baby into my arms and I looked down and saw a penis all I could say was “Oh! Oh! Oh!” and then, “ Honey, come look at this!” Tu and I stared at each other in shock. “Violet has penis.” I said. Tu’s first thought was that Noli would be disappointed and his second thought was that this was the wrong baby and there had been some kind of mistake. I had no thoughts at all. I just couldn’t wrap my mind around the change.

We named him Calder, after the Alexander Calder mobile that we first met each other under. We have spent the last month teaching ourselves not to say “her” or “she” when talking about Calder and collecting second-hand boy clothes. Noli adapted very well to getting a baby brother instead of the promised sister. She is mad at us for not giving her our total and undivided attention anymore, but she adores Calder and announces her new title of “Big Sister” to everyone we meet.

My main reason for submitting this entry to your Mother’s Day photo contest is that in trying to balance my time between Noli and Calder, I haven’t really had much time/energy to photograph them. I feel like I am missing some important moments but the time just slips away from me and before I know it I have fallen asleep nursing the baby on the couch again. We took millions of photos of Noli and I feel like Calder deserves a little documentation too. I can’t think of a more wonderful Mother’s Day gift than to have professional photos of our newly expanded little family!

# 2 Elizabeth Haring (No relation to my boyfriend Don Haring)

I come from a long line of strong women. Really strong women. The type of women that are born before their time and pioneer change. The type of women who survive terrifying experiences with their heads held high and their dignity fully intact. The type of women that other women long to know, befriend, and emulate. Within this line, I am the fourth generation of first-born daughters. This is a right in and of itself, and with it comes certain expectations and obligations. You can imagine the anticipation I felt when I found out I was pregnant with my own first child.

Ironically, my formal induction into this heritage of “strong women” surrounded my daughter’s birth. In the 26th week of my very normal and uneventful pregnancy, I went into pre-term labor. Though the doctors were able to temporarily delay labor, Riley was born two weeks later. She weighed just over 2 pounds and was, for a lack of better words, tiny. In those initial moments, I remember looking at my daughter, small and helpless, praying that she would quickly inherit my grandmother’s strength and my mother’s resiliency. We even chose the name Riley because it means strong and valiant~ hoping that we could bestow the influence of her namesake upon her. Riley came home 5 weeks later, weighing exactly 4 pounds. Because she was born so early, I do not have any pictures of myself in which I am obviously pregnant. And because her body was so sensitive that small amounts light and noise would disrupt her entire day, we never had her professionally photographed as a newborn. The only early photos we have of Riley are harsh and blurry pictures of her in the NICU, taken by her scared and emotional father. I am submitting the most meaningful which was taken the first time I was allowed to hold Riley, four days after she was born. As soon as I put Riley to my chest, she opened her eyes for the very first time and looked right into mine. It was at that moment that I knew that we both inherited the power we needed to survive this situation, and that we possessed a bond that only a mother and daughter could share. Though the picture itself is poor, it captured a significant moment and therefore is irreplaceable.

Today, I am humbled by how fortunate we are to have a healthy and vibrant 2-year old. She battled terrifying odds and has escaped all of the worst case scenarios that we were warned of when she was born. On Mother’s Day, I feel blessed to have been able to contribute this “strong little girl” to the world. She has reinforced the circle of women in our family, and has brought us more hope and joy than can be expressed in words. I would love to honor her, and all the mothers in this circle, by capturing her spirit in a photograph. By looking at your pictures online, I am certain you are the person who can perform this justice. Thank you for considering us as part of your Mother’s Day contest, and we would be honored to be chosen for your baby shoot!

# 3 Danica Sumpter (entered by son Brock)

So i overheard mom talking about a mother's day contest ms. joy was holding and when i heard that the prize was a baby shoot, i just had to enter. i know most people think their mom is the bestest ever, and i'm no different.

i wanted to get her something really neat for mother's day to show her how much i love and appreciate everything she does, but i'm not allowed to drive and don't get an allowance yet, so my options are a bit limited. i do however sneak online to blog once a week and thought it would be great if i could secretly enter this contest and win a baby shoot for her. "why?" you ask...this quote sums it up nicely...

A good snapshot stops a moment from running away. ~Eudora Welty

mom talks about how much and fast i'm changing and i can see in her eyes that she gets a little sad that her baby is growing up right before her eyes, and she's probably wanting to do anything she can to stop these moments from running away. to add to that, my mom and dad's families live in texas and florida so the only way much of my extended family gets to see me is through pictures. and no offense to mom, but ms. joy's a professional and if a picture by mom is worth 1000 words, one by ms. joy is worth 10,000.

so, i'm sure you wanna see me and my mom...
this is me (in my mommy's belly) and my mom on her mommy's lap (i guess you never get too old to sit on your mom's lap)
here's me in mom's belly...looks like she swallowed a big basketball
here's me on mom's belly...it's great to be on the outside
all this talk about bellies...for good measure i thought i'd throw in a picture of my belly (please excuse the drool, it comes without warning these days)
so, i hope you enjoyed the pictures of me and my mom (and g'ma), and i hope i'm one of the winners of the contest...it would be the best mom's day present ever for the best mom ever!

Good luck to you all and Happy Mothers Day!

An evening with Sarah and Jess

We just returned from a super fun evening of hanging out with Sarah and Jess here in D.C. So great to see you guys, I am happy we were able to get together. If you're ever in Philly be sure to give me a ring.

Heading home tomorrow and looks like its been great timing, the rain is going to roll in tomorrow. Its been a beautiful week here in D.C.

D.C. at night

Geoff and I wandered around a little yesterday evening. I really love how D.C. is illuminated at night. We weren't out for too long, I get a little creeped out with patches of darkness and wandering around with a big camera.

An attempt with the self timer, it was a bit challenging because it was dark and hard to focus, I set it up on the ground so once I hit the button I had to get up and get over and get into the photo and look "natural". Whew. So not the most flattering vantage point for me, but Geoff looks great!
View of the Thomas Jefferson memorial from afar.
And of course the Washington Monument.
I took it easy most of the day yesterday because the top of my feet/ankles are really sore. Not sure what I did exactly but it is a little painful to walk. We have done a TON of walking this week and I have worn a variety of shoes, I think I hurt myself when I wore flip flops one day. So its really just annoying. I am happy I don't have a wedding this weekend, although I have a super cool engagement shoot up in New Haven CT!

By the way I have received ZERO entries in the Mothers Day contest. We will see if anyone submits anything last minute but if not then next year I make sure to give people more time. I would like to receive at least three entries in order for me to give away one session.

Enjoy this beautiful day!

Hanging in D.C. with my brother

This week I am hanging out with my brother Geoff while he is in town on business. We have been having a great time wandering around the area. Yesterday he had a long break so we met for lunch and headed down to the mall again to check out one the natural history museum and head back. We have been on the go thats for sure and I have to force myself away from shopping in Georgetown. :) I have been down there two days in a row now.

Anyway, its been great to spend some time with Geoff. I had not seen him since New Years 2007 and he has since moved from Italy to Hawaii! What a life. He is loving Hawaii and I can not wait to visit.

I have not been good about bringing my camera out with us, our trips to the mall have been a little spontaneous, but I did get a good shot of Geoff with my iphone yesterday. Isn't he handsome?

I will get the real camera out at some point. I promise.

Mothers Day Contest

I thought it might be fun to hold little contest for Mothers day. What do you think?

Here's the deal.

I will give away ONE baby shoot and ONE belly shoot. The catch? Well I want to hear your stories, why you or your mom deserves it, why you want it or why someone you know deserves/wants this shoot. Send me your stories AND a creative photograph of your mom, yourself, your mom when she was pregnant with you or your belly. Self portraits are the best as you are always your most available subject.
I have never done this kind of thing before so I thought it might be fun. I hope you guys are up for it or can nominate someone who you think deserves a photo shoot with me.

I will post images as I receive them and a winner on Mothers day. Due to the timing of this I will be deciding the winner but I will also be posting the top three stories in each category along the way.
(if you don't think you can take a creative photograph of yourself or your belly, you can submit sentimental photos of your mother that you love.)

send submissions to: joy at joymoody dot com

So get to it! :)

Here are some old photos of my mom that I have always loved and may give you an idea for what you could submit if you go down the old photograph route.

Blogging for Linette

Yeah yeah I know its been a slow blogging week for me. There are actually a ton of things going on right now, I just can't really talk about them.... Don't worry all positive stuff.

So I get this in a email from Linette this morning:
"Ps... Would you post some new stuff on your blog already!!! Damn girl!"

So Linette darling this one is for you! Love ya.

These are some images I rounded up from a trip I took to Italy back in 2001. My brother and I purposely got ourselves lost in Venice and while trying to find our way back some little boys tried to steer us even further into the maze, Luckily Geoff is fluent in Italian and the grandmother caught wind of the kids giving us wrong directions and pointed us to the way out.

These images were all with my tried and true Hasselblad. And the color film was the last roll of Agfa 50 I ever shot, they discontinued it shortly after. It was the best saturated color film EVER.

These images come at a good time though since next week I will be in D.C. all week visiting with my brother while he is in town on business.

Enjoy.

Carver's first Birthday

I really can't believe it has been a year since this little guy made his appearance in this world! Linette and Kyle have become such great parents. It has been so fun watching them grow as a family this past year. I seriously don't know where the time has gone.

Here is the little guy in the first few days of his life.
The new family one year ago, my how time flies!
Look at the little man now, one year old, growing so fast!
The wonderful Kielinksi's
Carver's cousin Dom taking him for a cruise.
I love this. Check out how intensely Carver is eyeing up his cake! MMM yummy!
Mom and Dad cutting the first birthday cake for their little boy, in their new house and new kitchen.
And I just love this portrait of Linette and Carver.
Can this kid get any more adorable?

There are plenty more photos where that came from, so check out the slideshow below. Special music chosen specifically with Linette in mind. Love you guys and I am so happy Don and I were there to share such a special day. The party was so fun, be sure to check out Linette's blog to see more.

Edit: I just swiped this from Linette's blog.
I find this image Kyle took of me and Don at the party absolutely hilarious!

Happy Birthday Babies all around!

Wholy moly babies are being born everywhere! You guys remember Ryan Estes right? Well he and his wife Kelly welcomed their little girl Vienna into the world on Monday. If you know him or if you don't and just want to send a little love his way check out his blog post announcing his new little girl. So exciting.

This morning I received such a sweet sweet voice mail message from Kendra, we did a belly session for her the weekend before I left for Florida. She gave birth to a healthy stealthy baby boy yesterday evening! She called me this morning! Wow I feel so privileged. She and Pablo welcomed little Bernardo into their family and Bernardo already has the nickname chunky butt! Oh man. So happy for them, Kendra was ready for this little boy to make his appearance when I saw her let alone three weeks later! Congratulations you two, or I should say now three!
And another birth congratulations goes to my wonderful clients Michelle and Mike. Their little boy came early much to everyones surprise. I have not had the chance to say congratulations in person but I wish you both the best and I can not wait to meet the new little man!
So exciting. So many babies I love it. My good friend Mindy is having a baby shower in Pittsburgh this weekend that I am not able to make it to, she will be having two lovely little girls in May! Congratulations and I hope the shower is awesome! Linette's little man Carver is having a first birthday this weekend and I will be lucky enough to see them, what a wonderful year it has been. AND I just found out another good friend of mine is expecting. So exciting, so many babies and I can not tell you how lucky I feel when my clients call me, write me or send me birth announcements, oh man it just hits ya in the heart. Such a rewarding profession I have.

Good night.

Baby Sydney

The Saturday I left for Florida I had quite the busy morning, a belly shoot and then a baby shoot with little Sydney. Very full day, but a ton of fun. Little Sydney was a real mover and shaker, she really gave me a run for my money. Man this little girl does not stop, she is constantly on the go, no time for cuddle time here! She has too much to do and get into. But seriously she was the cutest little thing.

I love how here mom Nicole decorated her room and kids rule # 614 is so true!
Total cheese ball.
Hang time with daddy.
A nice moment with Mommy.
Gettin naked!
Oh so cute baby butt.

Very interested in my camera
She is almost walking, almost.
But this is one of her favorite things, she loves to tackle and wrestle the lion.
Everyone loves to get the feet shot, but I have to switch it up.
Uhh ohh is she tired? What about kid rule #614?
Just something I love about this image.
So so fun hanging out with you guys. I was worn out when I left and I was only there two hours! Sydney certainly keeps you moving. She has such a cute and curious personality it was such a pleasure.
Enjoy your photos and your slideshow.

Baby Brock

Friday afternoon I went back and visit Danica and Ben and meet little baby Brock. Last time I saw Danica she was all belly and Brock was warm and cozy inside. It is so awesome to go back and meet the babies, I just love it.

Check out this little man.
So sweet with those squishy cheeks.
I feel so bad when they get upset, but I just love the squishy faces babies make when they cry.
Looking to mom for reassurance.
Now its daddy time, what a handsome couple.
An adorable little family.
Look at the smiles he gives his Dad, we were trying to get him to smile like this the whole session but he was obviously waiting for Dad to get home.
It was really great seeing you all again and meeting baby Brock.
He is so adorable, I had a wonderful time.
One last image, such a beautiful timeless family portrait. I love this image.

Enjoy your Slideshow

Alex & Sam's first birthday

This past weekend was full of Korean tradition! Not related at all and total coincidence. Sunday morning after my wonderful day at Rich & Yun-Jin's Korean wedding I got to photograph Alex & Sam's first birthday celebration. It was so cute to see them in their little Korean outfits. They had the same type of alter setup I had just seen for the first time the night before. I do not know what it is called however, maybe someone does?

On to the photographs.
Meet Sam on the left and Alex on the right.
They weren't quite sure what to think and Alex was really interested in tasting everything!
A little detail from their outfits.
Just too darn cute.
break time, getting photos taken is hard work. Little ones need to be re-energized.
Fun shot with Mom.

Such a sweet moment between Sam and Mom and Dad. I just love both of these images.
Cake!
On a side note it was really funny how differently Sam and Alex approached their birthday cake.
Sam totally devoured her piece and it was all over the place while Alex very selectively chose pieces to eat off the cake and her piece still resembled cake when she was done.
Such a pleasure it was, and I can vouch that the cake was out of this world yummy.

Joan & Richard's 50th Anniversary

Saturday evening I went out to document a very special occasion for this family. Joan and Richard's 50th Anniversary. All of their children flew in from across the country to be here for them on this momentous occasion! They have six children, and even more grandchildren. This was a full house and it was certainly spilling over with love.

Here they are fifty years ago and then today. Don't they look fabulous!
Each of the grandchildren received a wonderful snow globes with a photo from their grandparents wedding day.
This is a clearer photo of the image in the snow globe, I love it.
Such a classy couple.
You can't get through the night without one of the grandchildren climbing into the furniture.
Here they are, all of Joan and Richard's children.
The children with their families.
I gave you the teaser shot of the grandchildren yesterday, still cracks me up just look in the post below this one.

One big happy family!
You were all great, I hope the rest of the evening was just as fun.
Here is your slideshow

Classic kid group shot

I photographed a really sweet 50th Anniversary party on Saturday evening and going through the images quickly tonight this image of the grand-kids got my eye and it cracks me up. So typical I think. I will certainly be posting more images from this event but I had to put this one up tonight.

The grand-kids group shot was a must have, the two little ones were less than thrilled but the show must go on! Better to document the moment than not have them in the shot at all. I personally LOVE this image.
This was a super family and I will have more to post about them later.

Baby Esmee

Saturday was a great day, not only did I get to spend the morning at Nuala's party but after that I headed out to meet baby Esmee. Oh my goodness this little girl will steal your heart. She was so funny and all about the camera, all about the smiles and surprising her parents. My cheeks were sore when I left their house from laughing and smiling so much.

Meet Esmee
What did I tell you? This was Esmee after only a few minutes of me being there.
Too cute!
Elodie and Eric are really great with Esmee, Elodie is French so she speaks to Esmee in French and Eric covers the English side of things. They are a super cute family.
Bath time!
I am always excited when the children I photograph surprise their parents when I am there. Esmee discovered her tongue, she was so interested in it and kept making super funny faces.
I just love this little moment between father and daughter.
I found a cute little song that I thought really went well with how our session went and has an added little French flair! You can't help but smile.

Enjoy your Slideshow!

Nuala's 2nd Birthday

Saturday was Nuala's 2nd birthday, and I had the privilege of being there again for the party. It has been such a pleasure watching this little girl grow up! You can check out last years birthday here.
So serious at first yet so adorable!
She was very excited, within the first five minutes of my being at the house two different presents were dropped off. She could hardly wait to open them.
The party was held at the Fleisher Art Memorial, they did a superb job of setting up all sorts of fun crafty stations for the kidos. Nuala's first stop was to make a button.
Print making for two year olds.
Painting fun with vegetables.
Rebecca and Kevin are awesome parents, so proud of their little girl and a good looking couple.
Very happy family!
The end of the party was crazy! All the kids got balloons and they were having the time of their lives running around the room with them.
Nuala went from having just one balloon to having eight!
Of course I feel special when the parents request a photo of me with their child.
I can't believe how fast Nuala is growing up and that I have been able to document so many stages in her life starting from when she was still in the belly!

Be sure to check out the slideshow, you should recognize some of the kids from the party last year and from some of my other moodybaby photo sessions.

Fun website for the mom to be.

I came across this site today and had to share it, babystrology.com.
You can find baby names based on meanings and origins, you can create a countdown ticker for when the baby is going to be born (cool tool for mom's with blogs). You can buy stuff, learn stuff and have fun. I thought it was pretty cool, if you are pregnant or planning to be check this out!

Best of 2007

So its that time of year. I have never done a best of post before, so this is a first for me. Going through all the weddings and moodybaby sessions from last year has been a great trip down memory lane. It was so hard narrowing these photos down, I could have easily doubled each slideshow.
Best of Weddings
I have included a lot of photos that never made it to the blog from weddings I second shot with Laura and Paul Eaton, Sofia Negron, Joe Pulcinella and Heather Fowler. I have had so much fun this year and learned so many new things along the way. I am really looking forward to 2008. With that I give you some of my favorites from this year.

Best of MoodyBabies
Narrowing down the babies was equally as difficult as the weddings. I photographed so many adorable children this year. I also gained many new friendships with all the families that invited me out to their homes and into their lives. I am so excited to see many of these families again in 2008.

Happy New Year everyone!

Baby Dylan and Caleb

Today I visited the adorable Dylan and Caleb, you have seen them before when they were first born and at Thanksgiving. Paul and Steph are good friends of ours and this shoot was my baby shower gift to them. Their hands are more than full with these two boys who are growing like weeds! Dylan is the big boy and Caleb is the little man, they are only six months yet are wearing 12 month clothing! Crazy for twins born almost a month early.

Mom and Dads bed is the typical landing pad, check out Cosmos watching out over they boys.
Isn't Caleb the cutest little thing?
All decked out in moodybaby onesies and being entertained for the first time by bubbles, although Caleb was still more interested in what was in the toy box beside the chair.
Eating is quit the event in this household. Dylan doesn't have any trouble finishing what his brother doesn't eat.
Moodybaby true to form.
A family portrait.

It was great finally getting to take these photos for you guys, enjoy your slideshow.

Christmas recap

We had a lovely Christmas in Connecticut. Don's nephews were very excited for Santa to come and we worked very hard making cookies for him.
We had all kinds of colored icing, Colin was eagerly awaiting me to mix them up.
I think Santa was probably impressed with our offerings.

I think we did a good job on the cookies, Santa was very good to us.A proud dad and his kidos.
Colin and Cameron were very excited that Uncle Don was there to help put together their batman Lego ships.
The kids also got a Wii, and we gave it a good workout or I should say it gave us a good workout. Between boxing, bowling, golf, tennis and baseball there are parts of my body that are still sore! I had a nice relaxing couple of days, hence the lack of photos to post up. We had a white Christmas, but we didn't really go outside. It was nice to be a little lazy for a change.
I hope everyone had a wonderful and happy holiday!

A Christmas Family Portrait

Today I visited Stephanie, Justin and Miles again. When I last saw them I told them I would be around for the holidays and they were so excited because they wanted me to come back and photograph their family that would all be spending the holidays with them. This family photo shoot was part of their gift to their family this year, pretty awesome gift!

I love this family portrait.
Stephanie and Justin, such an adorable couple.
Justin and his brother, you can really see the resemblance.
These are Stephanie's Grandparents, how cute are they?
I couldn't resist adding this one
Miles was really excited to have so much company.
Justin's parents, again too cute!
