Ryder and his cousins, Moodybaby (plus big kids) Session

I'm combining two different sessions with these guys into one blog post! We did the first session back in November, it was a surprise Christmas present for the grandparents. The second session was with the grandparents since Ryders first birthday party was snowed out in December. We really wanted to get the grandparents and grandkids together. I get to see these guys on a regular basis nowadays, they are an awesome family. We always have a great time. Ryder is the only boy grandbaby in the family, you will see how much his grandpa loves him below.

I have to say this is one beautiful set of grandchildren.

We did individual photos of each cousin with Ryder.

I had to take some headshots of these girls. They are gorgeous. Their mom and dad will have their hands full as they get older, boys will be beating down their door I am sure!

I miss the fall! The colors were awesome.

Mother and son, such a great pair.

We are now into January. Little Ryder waking up from a nap.

I love these guys! What a great looking family.

I love this.

You can see the bond of grandpa and his grandson.

Everyone together!

Grandparents and grandchildren.

Its always a pleasure with you guys!

enjoy the slideshow

Amy's Belly Session

I had so much fun with these guys last month. I haven't seen them since Eve was an infant! She is so big now and was very excited to become a big sister!

(As always my belly images are shot on traditional black and white film. There is always an element of surprise and I love the grain texture! We did take some candids with the digital which there are some at the bottom of this post.)

Amy has the perfect belly.

Eve was such a great subject in conjunction with mom's belly.

Seriously, can't resist her.

Comparing bellies.

I think she needed a little front and center in preparation for a new sibling.

They have an image hanging in the background that is a mother holding her child, we wanted to give our own interpretation.

Heart melter!

So sweet! You can see Eve's baby pictures as well, she was so tiny last time I saw her.

I brought along my digital camera specifically for this purpose. We did a few photos of Eve in her new room.

I love this.
I hope you guys are doing well, can't wait to meet the new addition!

He is a very happy little boy. Too cute.

Lucy showed off her hermit crab.

Loves his kisses from dad.

Lucy is a fantastic big sister. She is very good with Quin.
This just makes my heart happy.

Happy Family!

We had done a similar shot when Lucy was a baby.

Look how cute little Lucy was.
And check out that personality now! HA! Love this, still adorable as ever.

Little Alfalfa bath time.

I very much enjoy this image. Such a good representation of team work.
Awe............

Staying up momentarily. You can see he knows he's about to go down.

Lucy was so good for the shoot she got this awesome lolly pop from me. I think she was pretty excited.

I love this, dad trying to get a lick in.

Its always a fun time with you guys! It was great spending time with you and meeting little Quin, or should I say Joaquin. :)

Linette's Belly Shoot

Many of you will know who Linette is. For those that don't well, Linette in addition to being one of my best friends is also a great photographer who has been out on many weddings with me. She is also a fantastic mother and is currently expecting baby number two! We did her belly shoot about a month ago now, it was in addition to a great shoot a perfect excuse to just hang out for the day. Her son Carver is almost three and was so fun, he is such a chitty chat and had us rolling in laughter most the time. I think he was mainly excited that he could run around naked or in his undies and slippers.
Linette and Kyle are due with baby number two next week! They are having a home birth and I will be there to document the whole thing. I am very excited for them. I know the home birth with be such an amazing experience. Being a product of a home birth I am all for for it. Linette is very in tune with her body and has done all her research; they are fully prepared.

The gorgeous Miss Linette.

This was a month ago! I can't imagine her now, she is ready for this baby!

Love this point of view shot.

Carver hanging out in the "nest".

So sweet.

hehe.

Linette & Kyle

Look at that belly!!

I love this.

I love everything about this. Exhausted mom, tender child and timeless image.

Fun moment on the couch. Carver inspecting a boo-boo.

The shot that will be a big canvas on their wall very soon.
Love you guys and can't wait to be there with you to welcome the new baby into the world!
I'll leave the sex of the baby a surprise for blog readers.

Marybeth & Adam, Baywood Greens DE

Its been quite the season. I apologize for my tardy blog posts. As the end of a year winds down so much more picks up. I am finally coming up for breath and am diligently working on showing you my last weddings of the year.

Marybeth holds a special special place in my heart. She is not just any bride but one of my very best friends. We both attended Towson University in Maryland for one year, waaay way back in 1996/1997!. We were roommates for half of that year and while neither one of us stayed at the university we will always agree that the reason we went there that year was to meet and become friends. Awe. :) It sounds a little sappy but its totally true. We have been through a lot together though far apart. I couldn't be happier that she found Adam and seeing them together there is no question of their devotion and love for each other. Its such a great feeling seeing a friend so head over heals in love, she deserves it! I was on the fence when she first asked me to photograph the wedding, maybe being a little selfish I couldn't imagine allowing anyone else to do the job. Not to mention that Marybeth is just simply a beautiful bride. I did get to live the best of both worlds though, I had my good friend Geoffrey Horowitz of Leapfrog Photography second shoot for me and cover the reception so that I could enjoy that part as a guest. I did manage to sneak in some shots, I couldn't help myself. Thank you again Geoffrey!

I've made you wait long enough for this post, so enough of the sappy sap and on to the photos.

The setting in the locker rooms was not what I envisioned for the "dress shot" so I asked Marybeth if she would be up for holding the dress for a shot. Why not show off those sexy legs at the same time?

Now don't try this one at home folks! It was super windy and I made sure that the straps of that dress were wound so tightly on that hanger. If it were to happen to fly off I might was well jump in the river too. Luckily everything went to plan and we got this awesome shot of the dress flying as a golf cart came over the bridge. Major props to Marybeth for trusting me on this one.

I popped in at just the right moment to catch Adam getting his shave on.

I fell in love with these grasses!
Isn't Marybeth such a gorgeous bride?

One of my favorites.
This is totally Adam's personality.

Geoffrey got this awesome shot of Marybeth heading down the isle.

Being a flower girl is hard work!

Adam's brother officiated the ceremony and needless to say there was a lot of emotion.

The Kiss!!!!

Married! Love this shot!

Marybeth already has a large print of this, love this.

Geoffrey's view

My view.

Fun times in the photobooth!!

Mr. & Mrs. Sisk, love you guys!

I am so happy for these two, it was such a gorgeous day. Perfection.

Aloha! Coming to you from Hawaii.

Aloha from the beautiful State of Hawaii. I am here visiting my brother, yeah its a tough life. He has lived here for a few years but will be moving back to the main land later this month so my opportunity to visit was quickly fleeting. I've been here almost a week and the experience has been amazing. I have to recommend taking a vacation in the winter time! Weather down here has been in the 80's and perfect. Right now I sit on my balcony at the Mauna Lanai Bay Hotel on the Big Island in Kona overlooking a glorious pool and the ocean. Sun is shinning, its a glorious day. I will be heading down to do some snorkeling shortly. If you are my friend on facebook then you have most likely seen these images, there are many many more on FB actually, I thought I should share some on the blog for everyone else.

Pineapple fields on Oahu (the Dole plantation)

We caught a the pipeline surfing competition on North Shore. Look closely you can see the dude coming through the barrel here.

I don't know the name of these tree's but I love them.

Fun with self portraits, me and my brother Geoff.

ahhhhhh

Geoff took me on a 5 mile hike through the Honolulu rain forest. These tree's are Strangler Fig's.

View of Honolulu from the rain forest.

I love these tree's.

even the jungle needs some flare.

AMAZING!!!

possibly my favorite portrait of Geoff.

can't go wrong with a sunset.

Some dude jumping off into the ocean.

a little detail of lava rock and texture.

We hiked around the crater and through the lava lake. This volcano erupted in the 1950's, we actually got to see a little video documentary of the eruption before hiking. Its amazing to see life finding a way.

A giant fern unrolling.

Heading down crater rim drive where recent lava flow has gone to the sea.

kind of reminds me of New Mexico

We had a little too much fun jumping and goofing off for photos.

This is the "Hi Mom!" Shot.

Lava flow in 2008 and 2009 closed this road.

more jumping, Geoff gets some good air!
So there's a little peak for you to enjoy, more photos are on facebook if you want to check them out. We head back to Honolulu tonight, I highly recommend a trip to the Big Island if you come to Hawaii. Its an amazing place full of wonder. I can fully understand why some people come to Hawaii for vacation and never return home. Although I do love the change is seasons, I think coming down here in the middle of winter is a nice break from the winter doldrums.

I will come back refreshed that's for sure! Now off to the ocean for some snorkeling. Aloha!
