So its that time of year. I have never done a best of post before, so this is a first for me. Going through all the weddings and moodybaby sessions from last year has been a great trip down memory lane. It was so hard narrowing these photos down, I could have easily doubled each slideshow.
Best of Weddings
I have included a lot of photos that never made it to the blog from weddings I second shot with Laura and Paul Eaton, Sofia Negron, Joe Pulcinella and Heather Fowler. I have had so much fun this year and learned so many new things along the way. I am really looking forward to 2008. With that I give you some of my favorites from this year.
Best of MoodyBabies
Narrowing down the babies was equally as difficult as the weddings. I photographed so many adorable children this year. I also gained many new friendships with all the families that invited me out to their homes and into their lives. I am so excited to see many of these families again in 2008.
holy, holy moly!! Justin and I just sat here watching both shows oohing and ahhhing and laughing all the way through! joy moody photography=GREAT date night!! :) :) Seriously these are absolutely amazing!! you are so unbelievably talented and your music choice for both shows was spot on exquisite!! you are DEFINITELY photographing our baby a long, long time from now when we both stop breaking out in hives at the mention of it! lol In the mean time, where oh where can I get one of those moody baby shirts? I think J could definitely use one! :)
We miss and love you very much!
We have a couch all ready for you if you can make it to our Jan meeting!
Joy! These are great and I just love your baby photography. The emotions you've captured are wonderful; pure joy (I meant in the happy joy way, but I guess it could be your type of photography too, pure joy) in the faces of these families. How wonderful. What a gift. You made great use of the fisheye, different angles and perspectives. I'm so glad I bookmarked your blog! I can't wait to see this year's work, you're inspirational.
My passion for photography has brought me from New Mexico to Philadelphia. I fell in love with the change of seasons, the city, and its people.
Photography has always been a part of my life. My family has a rich history of photographers: my grandfather and great grandfather were amazing photo hobbyists. I have some great photographs from my family dating back to the later 1800's and early 1900's. It's amazing to see a photograph of what your mother looked like on her wedding day, when she was pregnant with you and how young she was, because sometimes we forget I was phhotograpghed constantly as a child and having those pictures today is priceless. Photography is history. The images you make today will be passed down for generations. I love bringing that Joy to others.
I approach photography with a documentary mindset. I concentrate on light, perspective, compostion and expression. I make art that will remain with a family for generations.
